Abstract

Data and information are needed to support the planning, implementation and evaluation of development results. Data on socio-economic conditions is needed to provide an overview of development achievements and can also be used by policy makers to evaluate development programs. Data related to people's living needs such as clothing, food, shelter, education, health, security and employment opportunities are needed to find out how far development results have reached all levels of society.
The National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) is designed to produce socio-economic data on the population in the education, health, housing, crime, socio-cultural, tourist travel and community perceptions regarding household welfare. Susenas data collection is carried out twice a year, namely in March and September. The data presented in this publication comes from the results of the March 2023 Susenas Data Collection.
This publication covers aspects that can be measured and for which data is available. The data displayed includes population conditions, fertility and family planning, toddlers and health, education, housing and settlement, household consumption/expenditures and other household socio-economic conditions. This publication presents data in tabular form accompanied by a brief review. With the publication of this publication, it is hoped that the need for data on people's welfare can be met.
